review from opening

an exhibition currently poetic, humane, dreamlike and so real ...

Just finished hanging Charlotte's Garden, which of course had its happy accidents. Looks great, thanks to Sounkary for all your work. Exhausted and hopeful that people will be touched by it. A woman wandered in to the gallery as we were working "qu'est ce que c'est, c'est magnifique, c'est superb, c'est genial, je dois revenir" either a mad woman or a very receptive arts reviewer. But i liked her.

so........

here it is, hot off the press, ready for the exhibition "Charlotte's Garden" opening on Saturday 13th Octobre at lartapalabres in Montreuil. Thank you Natasha for your computer savvy. Who would think that 55 images on a wall could require so much work. These photographs are a tribute to Charlotte, a brave and interesting woman who single handedly fought for land rights of her garden and lost, with the ultimate sacrifice - her life. And to my mum who tackled life with everything she could muster, Dilys a bright star that still shines for me. Thank you to James the Glaswegian printer (deadlydigital.com) who did a wonderful job and delivered all my prints to Paris within a week.
